Here’s an update on the latest restaurant openings in Orange County:
- The Sandwich Club has replaced the Crepes de Paris at 2700 Alton Parkway, Ste. 115, Irvine, Ca 92606. The new restaurant opens May 24at 12 p.m. Regular hours will be from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- Vegan sandwich shop, Phoney Baloney’s, opened in mid-May. Address: 4880 Irvine Blvd. Suite 102 (Inside Custom Bodies Fitness) Read more here
- Jersey Mike’s is slated to open a sub shop at 3428 E. Chapman Avenue, Orange. It will open June 13 in the same center as Chipotle Mexican Grill. The East Coast sub chain recently opened locations in Tustin and Orange (near Pat & Oscar’s)
- Wicked Wiches is opening its first brick-and-mortar sub shop in Santa Ana on Friday. Address: 3701 S. Harbor Blvd., Santa Ana. Read full story here
- Mi Casa Mexican Restaurant & Bar opened its second location in Rancho Santa Margarita in early May. Address: 22322 El Paseo, Rancho Santa Margarita. (Formerly an El Torito)
- Metropolitain, a creperie and gelato shop, opened recently in Old Towne Orange. Prices: $6.95 for egg and savory crepes; $5.95 for Sweet crepes. (posted May 2012, and yes, that’s how the restaurant spells its name.) The restaurant is located on the 100 block of North Glassell Street, next to Zito’s and Jalapenos.
- Sake2Me Sushi, an all-you-can-eat sushi eatery, has replaced the closed Tokyo Lobby in Tustin. Address: 13951 Carroll Way, Tustin, CA 92780. So far, very mixed Yelp reviews.
